There are a lot of Meetup groups relating to photography. One of them is for Urban Exploration in the Bay Area which explores dilapidated structures and abandoned buildings. A few weeks ago, the group went to Point Richmond and photographed some Interesting places, such as a World War II ship and abandoned and graffiti covered buildings. There was also a dock that had been used during WWII to load ships with cargo. Off in the distance, the San Francisco skyline was visible. For more information about the group – The Art of Urban Exploration.
I have more photos of UrbanEx on this website.
